The Bank provides foreign exchange services in the"epidemic area"non-stop

Through the linkage of the headquarters and the Branch and the coordination between the Branches, Shanghai Branch recently solved the problem that enterprise documents cannot be presented due to the impact of the epidemic situation, and successfully completed three document presentation services for foreign trade enterprises.

At the beginning of April, the epidemic broke out in Shanghai. The employees of Shanghai Branch had to work from home. As the international and domestic express delivery systems were paralyzed, banks and enterprises were unable to send documents to each other, greatly affecting the international settlement business, especially the document business. Some customers were unable to deliver documents due to the epidemic, which affected their normal foreign exchange collection. As a result, their funds could not be turned over.

Upon learning of this, the Head Office of the Bank immediately contacted its branches Shanghai Branch and Hangzhou Branch and worked together to ensure that the foreign exchange service and the settlement service would not be suspended. For this reason, the international business line adopted the principle of handling special cases with special methods and in a coordinated manner. The Head Office of the Bank was responsible for receiving customer information and scanning documents. Shanghai Branch operated through its remote system, and Hangzhou Branch completed express delivery. Thanks to their efforts, the customer business was successfully completed promptly and the customer expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Bank for its high efficiency. The three D/P services of Shanghai Branch involved a total of USD 11.13 million. Its quick response and close collaboration won time for the customer to collect foreign exchange in the later stage.

Despite the epidemic, the Bank’s services have never been suspended. Zhejiang Chouzhou Commercial Bank's international business line has constantly summarized the online operation procedures and worked out a series of measures to facilitate international business under the premise that business risks can be controlled. In the next step, the Head Office and its branches will continue to provide linkage services, flexibly allocate resources, and actively serve as bridges to contribute to the healthy development of foreign trade enterprises.
